How do you choose the right sandblasting machine?

Mobile units (tank-style) are suitable for treating large or irregular surfaces outdoors—for example, metal structures or vehicle surfaces. Enclosed cabins ensure a cleaner and safer process for treating small parts indoors, as the abrasive remains inside and does not spread into the surrounding area. Choose the tank capacity based on your workload—18.9–40 L is sufficient for smaller, less frequent jobs, while machines with 100+ L capacities are suitable for regular professional use.

What is the difference between sandblasting and dry ice cleaning?

Sandblasting uses an abrasive material (sand, glass beads, etc.) that mechanically removes a layer from the surface; the used abrasive must then be collected. Dry ice cleaning uses frozen CO₂ pellets that vaporize upon impact, leave no residue, and are gentler on the substrate—making it suitable for sensitive surfaces, such as electronics or historical artifacts.

Why is a dust collection system necessary?

The sandblasting process generates a large amount of fine dust, which is harmful if inhaled and reduces visibility in the work area. A dust collection system with abrasive recirculation also allows the abrasive material to be reused, reducing operating costs.

Are sandblasting booths suitable for processing parts indoors?

Yes—that’s exactly why the booths are enclosed: they allow parts to be processed safely and cleanly indoors without causing dust contamination in the surrounding environment, unlike when using an open mobile machine.
