Frequently Asked Questions

What size for a child?

780 mm (3/4) – for children ages 6 to 11 and smaller adults; 900–960 mm (4/4) – for children ages 12 and older and adults.

Classical or acoustic?

The classical guitar has nylon strings and a wider neck—it's easier for beginners and is the standard at music schools; the acoustic guitar has metal strings and a louder tone.

Do I need to tune it?

Yes—new nylon strings stretch during the first 1–2 weeks; the set includes a clip-on tuner that shows each string.
