8 channel video surveillance with PoE
Dahua NVR4108HS-8P-EI is a compact 1U WizSense network video recorder with 8 IP camera channels and 8 integrated PoE ports. PoE allows compatible cameras to receive both data transmission and power simultaneously, simplifying video surveillance system installation. The device supports IP cameras with resolution up to 16 MP.
8 PoE ports
The recorder has 8 × 10/100 Mb/s PoE ports with IEEE 802.3af/at support. Total PoE output power is up to 78 W, with maximum power per port at 25.5 W. This allows you to connect up to eight compatible IP cameras directly to the NVR without using a separate PoE switch.
256 Mb/s network performance
With AI functions disabled, the device provides up to 256 Mb/s incoming, recording and outgoing bandwidth. When AI functions are enabled, these figures are up to 180 Mb/s. Decoding is possible up to 16 × 1080p@30 fps, as well as up to 4 × 8 MP@30 fps in AI mode under appropriate conditions.
WizSense artificial intelligence
Built-in AI functions include face detection and recognition, perimeter protection and SMD Plus. At the recorder level, face analysis is available on 1 channel, perimeter protection on 2 channels and SMD Plus on 4 channels. Using compatible AI cameras, more extensive analytics are also possible, including ANPR, people counting, stereo analysis and heat maps.
SMD Plus for false alarm reduction
SMD Plus provides secondary filtering of people and vehicles, helping to reduce unwanted alarm signals that may be caused by leaves, rain or lighting changes. At the NVR level, the function is available on 4 channels.
Face recognition
The NVR supports up to 10 face databases with a total of 20,000 face images. Face databases can also store additional information such as name, gender, date of birth and other identification data.
1 HDD bay
The device has 1 SATA connection for a hard drive with capacity up to 20 TB. The available video archive duration will depend on the HDD used, camera resolution, bit rate and recording mode.
4K HDMI output
The NVR is equipped with HDMI and VGA video outputs. HDMI supports up to 3840 × 2160 or 4K resolution, allowing you to connect a high-resolution monitor or television for video surveillance image review.
Efficient video compression and remote access
Smart H.265+, H.265, Smart H.264+, H.264 and MJPEG formats are supported. The NVR supports up to 8 channels simultaneous playback, USB and network backup, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices. Camera compatibility is also provided by ONVIF Profile T/S/G, CGI and SDK.
